Simply loosen the feed with a metal scoop or heavy serving spoon. Fill an 8 ounce measuring cup to the level required, packing the feed lightly and serve. It can be fed as it comes from the box with water along side, or it can be mixed with water, broth or milk if desired. The addition of fresh raw beef or cooked meat (up to 15% by weight) would be consistent with good feeding practices. |

The Abady State of the Art Formula for Growing Puppies of the Larger BreedsTM is a scientifically advanced growth formula providing the nutrition for optimum development. In general, puppies should be allowed to consume as much feed as they desire in a 24 hour period. Only through free feeding can the proper levels of nutrients be provided during periods of intense growth. |
| Please Note: The Abady State of the Art Formula for Growing Puppies of the Larger BreedsTM is intended for the first year of growth only. After one year of age, puppies should be switched to the appropriate Abady adult formula |

| Switching from Commercial Feeds to the Abady State of the Art Formula |
| for Growing Puppies of the Larger BreedsTM |
| When switching from other commercial feeds to Abady State of The Art Formula for
Growing Puppies of the Larger Breeds, the entire process can usually be achieved in
about one week. There are several issues that must be kept in mind when switching to
Abady. Virtually every other feed in the marketplace contains artificial stool-hardening
agents (ie; beet pulp, cellulose powder, tomato pomace, wheat bran, flaxseed meal and
sodium bentonite) and many feeds contain saponins which are toxins found in soybeans,
beet pulp, oats, alfalfa, tomato pomace and yucca.
Along with causing bloat, saponins can erode and inflame the intestinal tract, and cause a number of other problems, but the symptoms of the irritation (vomiting, diarrhea, bloody stools) are concealed by the stool-hardening properties of some of these ingredients. Abady products DO NOT contain saponins or artificial stool hardeners, therefore, when the original feed from which you are switching is reduced and replaced with Abady, the conditions caused by the saponins in the other feeds may become manifest because the level of symptom-suppressing material is being lowered before the irritation or inflammation has had time to subside. In addition, because of the nutrient-dense properties of Abady, some dogs may need a little time to produce the digestive enzymes required to metabolize it properly. The switch-over period should therefore be adjusted to meet the circumstances as they present themselves. During the first days of the switch-over, replace portions of the feed currently being used with gradually increasing amounts of the Abady State of The Art Formula for Growing Puppies of the Larger Breeds until a 50% level of each formula is reached. If the stools are stable at that point, then switch over entirely to Abady. Under most conditions the exercise of good judgement and a little patience helps insure a smooth transition. Switching to Abady is always beneficial to dogs. Abady is formulated in concert with the principles of nutrition inherent in Nature's diets. The results are exciting and sometimes dramatic compared to those received from feeding other diets. Any effort expended to effect a change will be amply rewarded. |
